The Nimmitabel General Store has been in its' current location since 1947.  The building itself dates back to about 1870.

The Store, then known as "Thiso's" about the 60's - note the FB Holden Station Wagon

Being open seven days a week for approx twelve hours per day, the Store becomes much more to the community than just a supermarket.
It is the central point of contact for locals wishing to leave items for others and for visitors to contact for information.

The Store has a wide range of retail products, as it is now the only general merchandiser in the village, including the Post Office, Newsagency, Delicatessen, Tea Rooms, Pharmacy (Limited Licence), Wine Cellar, Hardware, Haberdashery, Video Hire and Supermarket.  It is also an agent for Dry Cleaning and Photo Processing.

Services such as photocopying, faxing, and other business services are also carried out. The official rainfall readings for the Bureau of Meteorology are also provided
